Coming back on line

I have not been able to keep up with this blog since I have had so much in my hands. My trip to Kenya in January/February in the midst of writing my dissertation kept me of line. By the grace of God I feel I am now able to re-connect and will be writing my sermon outlines and what God is doing in my life and ministry.

UNBORN SAMUELS: PRESSING THROUGH FOR OUR ULTIMATE DESTINY

What a wonderful time we had on Sunday at Bethesda Empowerment Center. You have to be there to experience it. Unfortunately I cannot post on line the anointing and the presence of the Lord that was so manifest in the meeting. However here is a snapshot of what the Lord was teaching us from 1 Samuel 1:1-20:

  1. We can choose to accept the status quo and give in to the “business as usual” or we can decide to press for God’s ultimate Destiny for our lives.
  2. The greatest enemy to our destiny is comfort and those friends and loved ones who would like to encourage and comforts us to settle where we are
  3. The Peninah's in our lives; poor pay, harsh, unfair, unappreciative and unconsiderate bosses, unhealthy and poor working conditions, deteriorating relationships, unfulfilled dreams, betrayal, unsuccessful careers etc are meant to make us uncomfortable in our bareness and unfruitfulness and so that we may seek the Lord for our ultimate destiny.
  4. During the times of dryness, barrenness and unfruifulness and when people and situations provoke us like Peninah did to Hannah, we have a choice to become bitter or better
  5. Some things and situations can only be changed through prayer and fasting; sorry, NO SHORT CUT.
  6. OUR LACK OF AGGRESSIVENESS IN PRAYER NOT ONLY DENIES US OF OUR OWN DESTINY BUT MANY OTHERS WHOSE DESTINY IS DEPENDENT ON US.
  7. Watch out, there are many unborn Samuels (Prophets, Priest and Kings) waiting for you and me to get tired of our status quo, begin to pray and fast and see what God will do.
All your prayers and support greatly appreciated.

Our Choice in Challenging times

On Sunday Oct. 19th we had a great time at Bethesda Empowerment Center. There was a powerful ministry of the word building on the topic of the previous Sunday; "The effectual Fervent Prayer of a Righteous Person avails Much" (James 5:16b). We saw the critical role of persisting in prayer even when everything is discouraging. Our choice during challenging times is either to LOSE HEART (GIVE UP AND DESPAIR) Or P.U.S.H (PRAY UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS). We unanimously agreed that during these challenging and difficult times we will choose the latter and not the former.

Effectual Fervent Prayer

Last Sunday,at Bethesda Empowerment Center we looked at James 5:13-20 and what a powerful and effective weapon prayer is. The good news is that this weapon is available to every Christian believer. James makes a very bold statement that I think is worth digging deeper: " The effectual fervent Prayer of a righteous man availeth much (v. 16). Even in the midst of unjust and wicked systems, persistent prayer still works (Luke 18:1-18).

Sunday October 12th, 2008

At Bethesda Empowerment Center, we are praying and fasting this week; believing God for revival and spiritual breakthrough. I am so excited about what God is doing and about to do in the Church. The Kenyan Community Church in Atlanta has been under great attack from the enemy. Deaths, sicknesses, divisions, strife, contention, hate, envy, jealousy and competition have been rampant. Many Christian believers are living under confusion, fear and panic.

This does not have to be so. We have been given power to step on snakes and scorpions and to destroy all the work of the enemy (Lk10:17-20).
God has given me a powerful message on prayer and what a mighty and effective weapon we have at our disposal during these difficult times. If you are sensing an oppression of the enemy in your life (family, finances, relationships, spiritually) or desire to see the power of God unleashed not only among believers but our loved ones outside the church, JOIN US ON SUNDAY, OCT 12, FROM 4PM AT 4876 LAKE PARK LN, ACWORTH GA 30101 (WAMUTITU'S RESIDENCE). Enough is enough. No longer can we allow the enemy oppress and destroy our community.
DON'T WATCH FROM A DISTANCE. LET US JOIN SPIRITUAL FORCES AND BREAKTHROUGH ON BEHALF OF OURSELVES AND OUR LOVED ONES.

Have no clue: Walk of Faith

Here I am trying to blog. I have no idea how this works. It is purely a walk of faith. There are no better time to walk and live by faith. When everything seems to be crashing, The Just shall live by faith. I am so glad I am a Christian and that God has given me and all Christian believers a measure of faith.
But what is faith? It is the assurance, the title deed, the guarantee, that those things God has promised us will come to pass despise the circumstantial evidence
Enjoy my blog.
